To me, anyone who can converse freely in a language, not to mention an alphabet, other than their own has "skills" for sure! (I remember being lost on the Moscow metro once: oh man!)

Permit me to order you a meal in a restaurant in Germany. I'll prove that point - to your likely dismay! Lottery dining...

Haha - I suddenly recal another dining experience, in a Korean restaurant on the top floor of a tower in Hong Kong. The menu was only in Korean and the staff were some of the surliest and least helpful on the planet.

In the end I decided to treat it like a Chinese menu: something at random from this section, something from that one, something else from another page... Not a blink or word of advice from the waiters.

Turned out I'd ordered four complete meals, which they had to bring another table to accommodate. Just to spite those swine I ate almost every crumb - which I regretted afterwards...
