D'Addario 10s MIA , think if you fork out the cash they ask these days your entitled to a new set of strings & set up before it leaves the shop, string at the very least, I'd most certainly insist on it , theres always other shops, haggle, then haggle some more

I use DR pure blues 11s. DRs seem to keep their tone the longest.

I use Fender Bullets or Super Bullets .009 through .48 on my Stratocaster and D'Addario's XL .009 through .48 my my other guitar. I do like Dean Markley's Blue Steels and Earnie Ball Extra Slinky's.

I do prefer nickle over steel strings. RK

I've used Ernie Ball "Heavy/Light's" 52 low E and 10 hi E on all my electrics for the past 6 yrs... switched to these after having too many Fender strings break. (Acoustic strings are D'Addario phoshpur/bronze lights)

Have been curious to try GHS Boomers and since reading this thread also may have to try the DR's. (Hopefully they make a heavy/light set.)
I like the heavier gauge low strings for power chords or good "thumpy" sounding rhythm. If you play a lot of heavy rhythm (or occassional bass fills) then you may find the Heavy/Lights to be the best of both worlds like I did. I get chunky sound on rhythm and can easily bend the 10's = lead without making my fingers bleed!

What ever the string brand may be I always use pure nickel wound i.e. Fender 150 XL, EB Super Slinky's. Nickel stringgs just give a very nice warm sound.
