What do you use to repair a ding in a Strat with polyester finish?

I know dings and dents give a guitar character, but I hate them on a brand-new guitar. I have a Standard MIM Strat in blue agave that was, until recently, in perfect condition. The guitar somehow got bumped just enough to break the finish, but not through to the bare wood, so I just want to touch up the ding enough to keep the paint from chipping off.

If this had a polyurethane finish, I would just dab on a few drops of polyurethane. But the Fender website says this model has a polyester finish. What product do you use to repair a flaking ding? I've never seen cans of "polyester" in any hardware store.

Any suggestions? Thanks, Michael
