Hello and welcome to the forum. Using http://www.guitardaterproject.org/fender.aspx, the following info came up when typing in your model number:

Guitar Info
Your guitar was made at the
Fuji-gen Plant (for Fender Japan), Japan
in the Year(s): 1988 - 1989.

Have fun with your guitar! :D

Heres a decent link for begginer players who can play a bit. Very good free instruction.
http://betweenthelicks.com/

Now i could suggest touring youtube and its many good lessons. But i fear you may get disheartend, I do and i've been playing 24 years. All i can suggest is that you find a local fella who will show you the ropes if you dont want to pay a guitar instructor. Web tuition is great but nothing beats face to face.

All the best with the Strat mate.
