Post subject: REAL STRATS OR FAKES

HI EVERYONE. I AM BRAND NEW TO THE SITE, SO I WA WONDERING IF ANY BODY COULD HELP. I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO BUY ANOTHER STRAT. I HAVE A 2004-2005 MEXICAN STRAT, AND A 2000 JIMI HENDRIX MEXICAN REPLICA STRAT. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT TWO DIFFERENT STRATS, BUT I DONT KNOW IF THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL. I SAW ONE THAT SAID IT WAS A 1982-83 AMERICAN STRAT CBS PERIOD, BUT ON THE FENDER LOGO, IT HAS THE BLACK LETTERING, WITH A YELLOW OUTLINE AROUNT THE FENDER NAME. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE LIKE THAT, SO I DONT KNOW IF ITS LEGIT OR NOT. ANOTHER STRAT I AM LOOKING AT, SAYS ITS A 1989/57REISSUE STRAT MADE IN JAPAN, BUT IN THE PICTURES I DONT SEE ANY SERIAL NUMBERS, OR ANY INFO SAYING THAT IT IS, WHAT THE PERSON IS CLAIMING. SO IF ANYBODY COULD GIVE ME SOME INFO, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. THANKS.

Can you post some pictures or a link to the sale's? No ones going to give a conclusive answer without seeing what you mean.

Ok my suggestion is check the serials online and if the seller cant show you a serial number then dont buy it...

Also alot of what you want is in previous threads so by all means browse through and find out that way otherwise people who answered this not so long ago see this and get somewhat irate! which means your really waiting for somebody tolerant enough to repeat themselves
