Hola fellow Fender entusiasts! I was born and bred Fender; cut my teeth on '58 pre-CBS Strat, and bang on a '84 American Standard currently.

I WILL be purchasing a new(er) peice in the near future (contrary to what my bride believes :D ). I am contemplating either an; American Deluxe Stratocaster QMT HSShttp://www.fender.com/products//sear ... 0101580852 or an American Standard HSS.

Does anyone own a Deluxe QMT? I would love to hear it demo'ed, if possible.

Thanks for all ya help!

Peace,
'84

Well, from what I've heard here on the good old forums, is that the Deluxe is pretty amazing. Though, I do own an '06 American Standard SSS and I must say that I am quite pleased. The best thing to do (which I'm sure you already know) would be to go to a music store and try them both out.

And a warm welcome to the forums! We're glad to have you here :D

Search on youtube for the models you are interested in and I am certain you will find a thousand videos of each.

That being said, who cares what someone else thinks, go try both of them and figure out which one you prefer. You are the one who has to play it so you might as well find something you like the sound/feel of.

Thanks fellas... glad to be here! I will be trying to find a music shop that has one (the QMT), problem being I live in small town USA, where unfortunantely Strat equates to a room full of MIM; no slam on the MIM, just not what I'm after.

Anyway, I DO have an interest in any feed back an Owner of the QMT may have. Surely an Owner has thoughts that I will not be able to deduce in a 30 min test drive.

Thanks. Peace.
