No offense, but -- is the only research you know how to do, coming here and asking us?

Anyway, go to fender . com and check out the color chart. Also check out sweet water . com , they should show the serial number to the guitar. If it starts with an M it is Mexican.

It looks like you've must of had a fun last week or so, with all these guitars you're checking out. Have any stuck out to you?

David58117, you need not answer a question if you're going to have that attitude. We don't take kindly towards that here :!:

koocho, the 50s reissue is MIM which stands for Made In Mexico. It's still a great guitar though and a great value. Good luck

Koocho. After reading a good few of your posts i see that your quite confused as what to buy. You already have 4 strats so why buy another when its obvious that non are really grabbing your attention?

You may well be better off to keep the money in the bank and forget about it for awhile. Just play one of the 4 you have until something grabs your attention.

Maybe get a cheapo digital camera and post us a few pictures of your current stock. We like looking at all guitars here. They dont have to be MIA, goldplated, hand built by the ressurected Christ, for us to appreciate them. Though if you do have one of those, How much do you want for it?

What i'm trying to say is that a non MIA guitar is equally as valid as a MIA guitar. Its the pleasure YOU get out of em that matters, certainly not anyone elses opinion of them.

Think about it mate

So you dont have a goldplated built by God strat for sale then?

Yknow a lot of people value simplicity of design over bells and whistles. Just look at the telecasters worldwide appeal through the decades for proof. You may find what you like on a simple american standard.
BTW candy apple red is my favourite colour. Theres not enough red strats in the world.
Here are mine mate

Its a dimarzio tonezone. The rosewood boarded one is the custom classic i mentioned on one of your other threads. When i first got it i thought 'whuugh customshop, nothing special'. After living with it a few months i cant be without it. The mapleneck'd one is a 57 hotrod. A very very nice guitar that you may want to consider. Notice the nitro finish shine like the urethane finished CS.

This is true. Though if Strats start coming out of that particular carpenter's workshop I think we'll all be interested.

However, an unexpected rise in church attendance may cut down on guitar practice time...

Cheers - C
