You can always ask on here. There are a few guys on here who are very good at making mods or customizing.

I haven't found any one site that will give you all the info you need.

Why don't you decide specifically what you'd like to "customize" and search for sites that offer that type of info?

Great advice. Make a list and decide what you want to do first. Google the mod you're wanting and do a lot of research. A lot of the satisfaction I get from customizing comes from the knowledge I gain through doing the research.

+1 on everything everyone has said here. Decide what you are looking to do specifically and start your search there. That said, I would honestly have to say that any more I get about 3/4's of my pieces/parts for mods off Ebay. Yea, I just got some pickups and some bass tuning keys at a local guitar show and yes, I do certainly pick up stuff at places like Guitar Center as well but most of the time I usually just shop around on Ebay...with a little patience I can usually find what I want at a reasonable price. In fact if you go to the "Musical Instruments" section of Ebay and just type in "Strat" you will get thousands of items listed...everything from complete guitars to necks, bodies, bridges, pickguards, etc., etc..

Good Luck!
Jim
