Ok this is going to seem like a noob question but I don't want to waste a good set of strings.

I recently just bought a CIJ Fender Aerodyne strat (see below) but the tuning heads look different to what I'm used to. I also have a Yamaha Pacifica 112 with standard tuning heads and I've restrung that baby many times. Can anyone tell me if I simply restring my aerodyne strat the same way?

Guitar plays great for anyone whos wondering. The basswood really gives it a 'fuller' tone which suits my classic rock style. Feels and plays much better than any MIM strat I've tried and on par with some American Strats.
Oh and it looks like sex too!

Pull the string about 1.5" past its tuner. Poke the end of it down the hole, bend the string over so it comes out of the side of the tuner and turn the peg.

Make sure you cut the string at a point 1.5" past the post before you poke it into the hole.

What you have are the "vintage" style tuners. I was nervous the first time I had to change strings on my Jazzmaster. But now I prefer this kind of tuner. You can do it!
