I have been noticing the price on the VG Strat has been dropping lately. It's now selling for $999.00 at various sites where it had been selling for around $1600.00. I also saw where MusiciansFriend listed it as a closeout.

Is the VG Strat being discontinued? Seems like a pretty good deal for an American made Strat now.

Guitar Center and Musician's Friend are both selling them for $999. That puts them Over $200 less than a new MIA Standard.

Uh Oh. Better grab one fast.
According to what I just read on the Fender product lineup they are indeed discontinuing the VG Strats.

Get em before they are gone.
