As most people know, Stevie got his first break with David Bowie. I was familiar with the song Lets Dance, but always thought Stevie was under used even though he is instantly recognizable and probably integral to the songs success.
Now for some reason I ran across the song Cat People from that same album and holy crap! That's the song Stevie really gets to rip on. If you haven't heard this song, you should check it out. It's actually pretty rockin' for an 80's Bowie song.

I have to say there are several 70's era bowie songs I like:

Rebel Rebel
Life on Mars
Ziggy Stardust
The man who sold the world
Starman
Space Oddity (Major Tom)
Sufragetty City
Changes
Jan Genie
Golden years

The 80s stuff and later (except for the songs from Lets Dance) are just lame.

"Do you have one really freaky sequin space suit, man?
Or do you have several ch-ch-ch-ch-changes?"

Gotta love Flight of the Conchords :)

I remember the first time I heard Let's Dance. I had an argument with my Dad because I thought it was impossible that SRV had anything to do with it... But then the guitar solo came on and I believed it.
