I just purchased a used Strat that has all the features of an American Deluxe HSS except that it has a black headstock face and the body appears to be Mahogany. Does anyone know if this configuration is a Fender standard, or is it a custom config?

I think it was a Deluxe model of some sort. Pics would help though.

Thanks guys. That's the picture. It has all the features of the American Deluxe HSS (locking tuners, roller nut, S1 switching, stainless bridge saddles) The mahogany body and black headstock are the mystery.

Thanks Darkly D...I'm guessing since you found a picture pretty quickly that this is a standard config for Deluxe Strat HSS. The guitar by the way is one of the best sounding and most versital instruments I've come across. I'd highly recommend it unless you are looking for max twang or max metal sound.....Thanks again for the replys.
