yeah its ugly, everything from color, to tech specs, and the style is plain. gibson should stick with their lp, sg, xplorer, fire birds and es line

I don't know... I sort of like it. It looks like the bottom is sort of Strat like... maybe. And they took the SG horns and offset them a little like the cutaways of a Strat. But, it doesn't look like a Fender. It looks like a stretched out SG.

There are uglier guitars. Dean guitars with that hideous headstock, for instance.

It does have a dumb name. The Eye?... I don't think I'd buy it, tho' even if I was looking. I have a Deluxe Player Strat, a 39 year old Tele and an SG. Any more and my wife would kill me.

Yea, I can't say I'd sport that thing. Too lipstick-red. Looks like something I'd expect more from Daisy Rock than Gibson.

i'd watch out for gibson ebony. i have an explorer that was advertised as having a ebony fret board but what was meant by ebony was "painted black". sucks but i still like the guitar.

What focus group said they wanted a guitar from Gibson that looked like that? Which executive looked at the prototype and said, "oh, man, we HAVE to make this - make sure to leave the dots off the neck!" ?
Did you read the Ad copy? Is it written as a joke? Did someone get paid to write it? Someone was overpaid.

heres what happened, they took an SG painted it bright red, put Les Paul pick-ups on it and ad a wammy, THAT crapy thing is soposta be Gibson's Strat wow!
