I don t agree because very famous artist use this guitar

There Strat's that have been given a few Mods then they replicate it and name it. Thers nothing new about them making them a outright new guitar where as the Gibson in question is. And to be honest who cares if and artist uses a simular setup guitar it don't mean I am going to like it. Right now the most expensive guitar in the room with me now was about 3g's and it was not bought because it was named for someone. Signature's are just a marketing tools used by manufactures. If I pick one up and I like it I would buy but not because of an artist name tag on it.

The thing with this limited run gibson is, the pickguard(and in my opinion the colour,) don't fit the design. All it needs is less prominent guard, the body shape is actually pretty cool.

I agree I said in one of My earlier post on this subject that it would look good with a Musicman style pickguard.

Yeah, and in one of my earlier posts, I agreed with your ealier post. That's a good looking guitar if you change out the wild pickguard. I even like the color.

I did not like it at all.First I hate a guitar without fret markers. The color seemed orange to me and that pickguard had to go.I bet it sounds killer though, but I would rather have a LES PAUL any day of the week over that.

Yeah, i don't see any Fender influence at all. Looks like an SG's visually challenged cousin... :?:

The first thing that turned me off was the name.

I like the confused retro-ish look, but agree it would be more appealing in maybe a balck or even blue.

One thing I will give fender is there are differences in the sound of current mid priced Strats and Tele's, but since Gibson is using the same pickups, the sound is essentially the same.

Someone commented about the robot models. I have both a Les Paul and an SG robot. They are exceptional for changing tunings fast, easy and accurately.

As long as there is more than one company making more than one model guitar, there will be folks that want to have more than one guitar.

I like how each one of mine gives me a different feeling in my gut when I look at them or when they get picked up and played.

Overall, I suspect those that do buy the Eye will have the same enjoyment, for the same reasons, as anyone buying a new model of anything from any other company.

wow. $1,299.00! I'd give it a whirl. It's got my other favorite wood combo, the alter ego of Fender, the mahogany/ebony combo.

But, it's ugly cuz of the color. Red is the one color I would not purchase.

It would look incredible in white or black!

No doubt, they copped the strat look, Gibson caved!
