But Ive heard that its a crappy guitar thats cheap and plentyfull a novice guitar is it true????

mustangs aren't cheap anymore. when they were first introduced, they were designed for student guitarists. thats why they have a small body, and have a much smaller scale length. They aren't crappy at all, just smaller and simpler than other guitars.

The Mustang surpassed it's "entry-level status" many years ago.

Get both.

I love mine, the in phase/out of phase switching is a cool design.

That's one of the main selling points for me--although it would still be a cool guitar without it.

If you want to get technical about it then your jagstang is a bit of a bastard child to you because it is part mustang part jaguar and is more akin to the mustang than the jaguar.
