Hi, well the necks are new from new guitars, the bussiness of selling new fender parts is huge on ebay, they actually buy tons of new guitars and then sell the necks bodies pickguards bridges and everything a new fender comes with I actually think its kind of good

I guess it's good that a guy can find parts.

And I guess it's good that the sellers are making money selling all of the parts. It's quite the business plan.

Do Fender sell replacement necks?

No they dont but you can get them on ebay genuine fender ones or also you can go to places like warmoth for nice replacement necks :)

I'm curious. If fender doesn't offer replacement necks, except for warranties, where are Ebay'ers getting new authentic Fender necks? Or are they just old necks taken off of guitars?

While I can't be 100% sure on this, I believe that some of the folks on Ebay buy new Fender guitars then take them apart and sell the parts. For example, I've noticed from time to time with "Stratosphere" that if they have say a "Clapton Signature Series Neck", if you look around in the rest of their auctions, often you will find the body that went with that neck...as well as the other pieces. Clearly parts will get separated in lots...if the neck sells but the body doesn't, the body will get carried over to the next auction but you get the general idea. The logic here is that they can sell the parts for more than the whole instrument cost and thus, make a decent profit.

Again I could be wrong on that but it does appear that's the way they do it.

Peace,
Jim

Stratosphere just buy guitars and break em down for parts, like a scrapyard does with cars i suppose. Ed Roman does the same thing but with all makes and models of guitar.
