Hi i am having problems with my highest e string. Whenever i have my Roland Micro cube on any setting above brit combo (distortion/od effects) the highest string on my 08 mexi strat sounds like the tremolo effect. The problem occurs anytime i play on the e string on every single fret. What is wrong with my guitar? i know it's not the amp cuz i have a schecter and that plays fine on it. Thanks for you help.

Have you tried lowering your pickups?

the sound occurs on all my pickups. The neck pickup is pretty low so i didn't touch it. The bridge pickup, however, i did try lowering and the tremolo sound is still there. i was looking stuff up on google and found something about intonation or nut problems? i'm not too sure what's wrong. Thanks for the help so far and i hope somebody knows the solution to this extremely annoying problem.

You have to lower the pickups A LOT.

how much is a lot?
my neck pickup is nearly flat with the pickguard and it is still making that sound. same with my middle pup... the website says that "Stratitis is most commonly produced by the neck position pickup on the low E string because the the string will move/vibrate the most close to the neck. In addition the Low E string contains the most "steel" and will be most affected by magnetic pull. Once you get the stratitis of the Low e string taken care of on each pickup , the other strings will probably be fine (as long as they are low enough to prevent popping)." the problem with this is that my low e string does not make the "warbling sound" my low e string is fine and all my p-ups make that sound. if it's the p-ups should i jsut change them? i'm kinda low on money so im trying to see if it is fixable before i go out and spend my food money... thanks for all the help so far. does anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like the high E string saddle to me. When you say tremolo effect do you mean like a tremolo pedal with the sound of the note fading in and out or a tremolo system like a whammy bar warbling the note? If a tremolo system the saddle to the high E has a groove in it and needs to be either smoothed out with a file, replaced or swap it for the low e string saddle.

There O.O is that helpfull enough.
