s/s/s with noiseless/noiseless/and hotrails in the bridge?

or stock upgraded hwy 1 s/s/hotrails?

i have an itch adding a hotrails to the hwy1, only because its awesome with higher gain than my am std.

slap me with your input...

The Hotrails works well in combination with single coils tone-wise. I had one in an American Standard with the stock single coils. The only issue I had was the output level of the Hotrails compared to the single coils. It can work, just depends on if you can live with the difference.

I tried it. The Hotrails ran away with the guitar volume and sustain wise. It was also completely out of character with the other two pickups. Even the coil tap didn't 'homogenize" it. But if that's the sound you're after, by all means, go for it!

The Hot rail is much hotter than the single coils and there is no way to get a good blend if in 2 on the 5 way switch. You lose the quack...You might try putting a hotrail in the bridge and a coolrail in the neck and leave the middle stock. You might also want to look at the Dimarzio Tonezone.
