For me........a Strat sounds it's best (and most "Stratty") when played through a Fender Twin Reverb!
I have never heard such pristine timbres and 'quacky' tones coming from ANY of my Strats as when played through a TWIN!
The TWIN I speak of is a totally beat to hell amp that is in the rehearsal studio that I use.
This amp has seen more abuse that I can shake a stick at......but it STILL sounds wonderful!!

Put a Fulltone O.C.D. in front of it......and....heaven!!
