Hi, I'm brand new to the boards. I'm hoping you guy's can help me. I just bought a American Strat about a year ago which I love. I also have MIM strat that is about 6 years old and I want to upgrade the pickups. I have looked extensively online for left handed strat pickups but so far no luck. I know Fender makes noisless pickups for lefthanders but I can't find any stores that sell them and Fender as far as I know does not sell their products online. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance....

Welcome to the Forum.

Any Authorized Fender Dealer can order them for you. As far as other pickups, look for pickups with non-staggered pole pieces and you'll be fine.

Chet your cool. Any suggestions on pickups? Mine are standard in my 1989 Strat. No humbuckers. I love my Strat. One friend said it "felt vintage" after playing it at a party. It was set up years ago (90's) by Sunset Custom in Hollywood. It still plays great. Is it worth it to upgrade to Fender Lace Sensors or other newer pickups? 8)

My personal recommendations would be Bill Lawrence www.billlawrence.com pups, or WCR SR's www.crcoils.com

Bill's pups are very reasonable priced, not made until they are ordered so there is a waiting period of usually 4-6 weeks. Very Vintage sounding.

Jim only makes about 30 sets of the SR's per year and they are not cheap, but they sound fabulous!!!! Very Hot near P-90ish tone.
