what's your opinion on the Fender stratocaster MIM i ordered the black with Rosewood fretboard guitar, Fender amp and Fender bullet strings (i love Fender products!!) and im just waiting for it to come in the mail. I sold my previous guitar so i have nothing to cure my guitar addiction. So i just look at random fender stuff till it arrives. So whats your opinion about the strat im gettin the main type of songs that i would play would be Greenday songs (BOBD, TOYL, AI, H) so whats your opinion. Cheers!

You won't no until you get the guitar. A sour lemon can show up in any batch

they are great-- why spend the extra money on mia when you can take that money and modify to your hearts desire and make it a one of a kind.

Because the resale value will still be low, and the neck on mia is nicer. MIM are great guitars though. Have fun!

Both my Tele and Strat are MIMs and I couldn't be happier. I also use Fender strings for my Fender guitars. Super 250R on Tele, 150TR on Strat. Sound, playability, everything is just right and the way I like it.

I had to dump more money into my MIM Strat than I paid for the darn thing in order to make it playable! But it is a one of a kind instrument that I'm in love with.
Even though I love my MIM, I'm buying a MIA Strat today that I'm not going to have to do anything to except set it up. Will be nice to not have to mess with it =P

MIMs are great guitars for people who don't want to shell out $1000+ on a guitar.

I've yet to be impressed with a MIM. Doen that mean its not a good guitar? no, it just means i'm a picky b@$!@&*. I've bought a few MIMS but always end up selling them within days.

Enjoy your new purchase, no doubt its a great guitar, just not my cup of tea. 8)

The MIM Strat was my first guitar, purchased in San Francisco almost 20 years ago. It sounded great. The only guitar I've had stolen from me. Since then I've owned guitars I couldn't give away!

That, and they compete with the MIA's in quality and tone! :D

Of late and by choice, I have been buying MIM Strats instead of MIA ones. The price of the American ones are simply not worth it any more. All things considered, your best bang for the buck is with the MIMs.

Worth noting: I keep asking, yet to date, no one has ever offered definitive proof that the quality of MIMs are inferior to that of the MIAs. Frills, yes, but quality, no.
