Awwww I am so sorry you had to take time from turning your bedroom wall into a JM collage to answer this question. Dont worry, you will always be known as the guy who posted on this first. You are a legend for this. (Sigh......)

When will the signature guitar fad stop :?: Enough already, whats the big deal about having a guitar named after someone? I am a fan of many artist but I have never desired to own something because its like theres. Fender should push the sale of the Stratocaster Pro and other models like that.

We certainly were busy with the Gilmour project, weren't we?

You make a credible point. Unfortunately Fender tweaks these signature guitars in a fashion which makes them unique. I have a preference for the Clapton neck, would never would have happened had the Signature Series not originated with him. Granted, The Custom Shop will build nearly anything you ask of them......but at a price.

Allow these people their passions with understanding. If Chanman sees JM as the best thing coming down the pike since oral contraceptives, so be it.

I invite you to join me one evening on the late commute home out of Penn Station in NYC when The New York Rangers hocky team loses. :?

Now THAT's entertainment. :!: :P

I think its just to many sig. strats now being made that kind of turns me away Good Bourban being watered down

I totally sympathize with those who are frustrated by the plethora of signature guitars now available. However, it stands to reason that Fender makes them because they sell and, as we all know, the consumer drives business. Only if Fender were to stop, say, building Standard or "unsigned" guitars would this worry me. I know that Fender has lots of great instruments from which I can choose; really, the only name on the headstock that matters starts with an "F."

No one is forcing you to read them, if you don't want to read other peoples threads then simply don't click on them.......

Fender should make a section for people to discuss sig series guitars. I also think they're a waste. It has gotten out of hand. It always gets into a nasty argument.
