I've got a Classic 50's and can assure you, you won't be dissapointed. The "v" neck isn't that noticeable and it's really well made.

Yeah im in Plymouth, And im not sure what shop you could mean but i Go to Hartnoll Guitar Centre.

And hmm...i had forgotten about the V-shapd neck thanks for the reminder...I'll check it out tomorrow

Ah-ha! Well, see if you can haul yourself over to Exeter and visit Manson's guitar shop in McCoy's Arcade off the bottom of Fore Street. Gotta be one of the best done out guitar shops you'll ever visit, and you'll also see guitars made by the Manson brothers, Andy and Hugh, which will make your eyes pop out. Superb top drawer versions of famous guitar styles as well as some very weird and unusual things indeed.

Andy Manson's business partner in that shop is Adrian Ashton - who just happened to be the bass player in our high school band back in the '70s (I was the drummer at the time). A very excellent gentleman who'll sort you out guitarwise in the most helpful manner.

Tell him Ceri (pronounced Kerry) sent you. Won't get you any special treatment: everyone is well treated there.

Project Music in Bartholomew Street is another decent guitar shop in Exeter with a good range of Fenders, and there's also Musicroom in Sidwell Street. All together well worth a 45 minute train ride up from Plymouth. None of which is to say anything against Hartnoll Guitars, of course. Nice people.

There now, ClassicRock92: you didn't expect local knowledge like that on an American website, did you?

:D - C

EDIT: dopey spelling mistake...

You're welcome! Hope to hear more from you too - for instance, what you think about those Manson guitars, especially his Strat and Tele style ones. Many famous players wielding those instruments...

Good luck - C
