I just recently bought 2006 MIM standard in arctic white and rosewood fingerboard (just like I own it before, 2006 MIM standard, sunburst, rosewood)

and I just realized that their tremolo arm, are exactly DIFFERENT!! :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

I just wondering.....the hell :?: :?: :?: My old one has a short, lower one (similar to my '62 strat) and my new one has a long, higher one (similar to chinese made :wink: )............

I just thinking to buy a '62 tremolo arm......

Anybody can tell me something about this freakin' problem?

From what i understand, the vintage trem bars are the short ones and and the longer ones are on the new style strats. You can get a new one in either style at any Fender dealer or online. I don't know if the threads where they screw into the bridge are interchangable though.(in case you were thinkin about switchin' styles or whatever.

American standard thread does fit vintage reissue trems. Im wondering if anyone knows whether jeff beck shapes his trem arms to suit himself. On closeup they appear to be like hank marvins trem arms.
