During my quest for the ultimate Strat (for me and for now). I really like the solid maple neck that's on the EC Strat. I noticed that the 57 HR has a modified solid maple soft V. Is it smaller? Slightly different shape? I've found plenty of EC's to play but can't find a '57.

One of the local Sam Ash's has a ton of Fender's so I'll double check with them see if they have one.

As a side note some of the reviews I read complained about the Trem bar. That's not a problem for me. Minimal if any trem usage.

Love my 57hotrod and have no complaints with it at all. I did notice a bend on the trembar right on the thread but it bent back straight easy enough. On the neck ZZdoc says its very close to the older clapton necks. Its quite thin with good taper up to around the 15th fret where it seems to flatten out a bit.
