Hey Fellow StratHeads-

So I just finished moving and now it is time to get my "Garage Studio" in order. I have more room as I am now in a two car garage. My beautiful wife found me a great work desk off of craigslist and ...more importantly I have more POWER !!!! That means my amp, pedals, Stereo, and Computer w/ Guitar Tracks Pro can all be powered up without throwing a breaker. The Garage is also insulated and Sheet rocked- Things just don't get better then this !!!!!

I have seen many of your photos of your guitar spaces and I will get some of mine when it is fully operational.

Tell me and the rest of us about your playing space...What do you like about it? What features do you wish you had?

The Freeze

My wife and I live in an A frame type house so we have an attic and a good bit of space on the second floor behind the upstairs rooms . I just converted that extra space into a studio I broke it up into 2 small spaces and one long room..The 2 smaller rooms are for vocals and such and the longer room for drums and anything else. Why upstairs in an attic like room? Well we live in the country so no one can hear us anyway and after years of crawling out of basements after recording it’s kind of nice to walk out of the studio look out a window and see the tops of trees. A different perspective. Also since it is A frame it’s easy to stack your equipment and recording devices in space to low too walk that is out of the way. Pretty interesting I’ll post a picture if I can

My studio is more of a hobby studio in an extra bedroom. It is pretty much good for multitracking one instrument at a time or an instrumet and vocals simultaniously. Everything is line in to the computer, so I would eventually like a room large enough to accomodate a full band with drum kit and enough mics and a board to record live.
