I like it but would coil tap the 2 HB's for more versatility.

Another 2,000.00 signature model  A double fat strat worth the extra 8 bills?

HSH has it's merits, particularly if it has a really good single coil middle pickup. My after-market middle on my SSS is one of my favorites.

I go along with the previous poster questioning the 2000 bucks. Seems shrewd to buy an SSS, sell the pickguard with pickups on ebay, and put your own favorite rig in it. Good for Fender, though, if the can sell a bunch of these there has to be a good profit margin built in, allowing them to keep the prices down on their non-signature models.

Wow. An Iron Maiden sig strat  When is Fender going to come out with my sig strat? It would only be a MIA standard with 62 CS pups, but the stale beer and cigarette smell would require extensive relic work. It should be around 5 Gs. PM me if you want one.

I don't understand why so many humbucker-equipped Strat have mounting rings... isn't the Strat pickguard a gian mounting ring on its own?

For some reason, if we're taking about double humbuckers, I look more towards Gibson or ESP.

That's how I feel. He may play a Strat but he is definitely not a Strat player. If you know what I mean.

Great Scot!

And someone seems to have done a similar job on the player: his legs look too small for his body...

Excellent pic!!!

Cheers - C

Not to me... If I want 2 HB I'll get a SG or LP.
