so i've been doing lots of modifications to my strat lately, and i've been trying to preserve the vintage look of it. now i want to add a kill switch, but i don't really want to have another switch or button on the guitar. does anyone know of any way to put a kill switch in a guitar without it being seen?

i was thinking of maybe doing something along the lines of a button in the volume knob, similar to the s-1 switch. anyone think that might work?

i want a kill switch so that i can create cool effects, like those utilized by Tom Morello, Buckethead, etc.

I know that Morello used a toggle switch for his, but buckethead uses a button that he taps. i was thinking of getting a switch, similar to the s-1 switches, and setting it up as a kill switch.

think it would work? or is there a better way to do it?

you could try asking at Guitar For Beginners and Beyond. there are many there who know about modifying guitars.

Buy a Gibson/Epiphone Les Paul or use the stand-by switch on you're amp.
Or install a push/push or push/pull pot in the strat.
