Two or three years back Fender introduced some revisions to the (MIA?) YJM strat.

These improvements include, inter-alia, machine-screw neck fixings, deeper scallops, and possibly also the bullet trus rod.

Is anyone aware if all these mods were introduces at the same time? And also, what year(s) the changes came in?

I have my eye on one, serial number (on back of headstock): SZ7144464.

Several questions:-

-Is it genuine?
-Is it US made?
-does it have the machine screw fixings?

It DOES a bullet truss rod, so , chances are, if all the changes were introduced at the same time, it will have the machine screw. But, I am not in a position to take it to bits to check!

As I understand it from the serial number this is 2007 guitar.

I wish to acquire one of these strats WITH the latest mods, so I'd be grateful if anyone knows whether this particualr example is likely to have them?

Thanks

Yes, that model will definitely have all the updates. I believe they all went into effect back in '03 or '04. I know I still worked for Guitar Center when they updated and I was with them til the last day of '04.

Really? I thought starting in 07', they revised it. I know, because I used to own an 06' that did not have any of those revisions.
