Greetings strat players,
Got a question about the Ritchie Blackmore signiture strat that's just recently been released. Or should i say re released. My Q" is Are the reissues coming equipped with the RBTC module? Or has everyone forgot them? The only time i heard one was on Youtube and yep it actually sounded pretty good. But anyway that was the Q" Thanks all,
Any thoughts on the subject as always is appreciated!

It doesn't have the module.

If you owned the MIJ version from before, its the exact same thing except MIM. I've owned both the MIJ and CS versions.

I need to scan the pic of me and Ritchie from when he signed my CS model. He mentioned how much he loved the neck on mine :D

What is the RBTC module? What does it do?

If I recall right, it's essentially like having his old Rangemaster treble booster pedal, but installed in place of the lower tone knob e.g. the Clapton boost.

How the hell did he fit that in a strat    .
A friend of mine makes reproduction versions of the rangemaster and just sold 4 to billy gibbons on the proviso that gibbons didnt pay shipping. My mucka made not one penny out of it.

Oh. I thought it had something to do with a Synthesizer.

Didn't some Blackmore model have a Synth output of some kind?
I didn't know that Ritchie was a big synth fan/user!

The CS version had the option of having the Roland GK pu installed. The first time I noticed Ritchie w/a Synth pu on his guitar was back on the '91 Slaves and Masters tour. He uses the guitar synth extensively with Blackmore's Night. I know he used to use the rackmount Roland GR50...don't know if he still uses that one or if he's using something newer.

Wow, it's true, you learn something every day. Thanks.

I have a Blackmore's Night concert tape that I'll have to check out more closely.

good question!

to my knowledge, he doesn't even use this. I think someone just had the idea to replicate the sound by turning the tone knob into a boost e.g. the EMG XPC or Fender Clapton. i saw these modules on ebay occasionally but I just did a search for one and came up empty.

How much did the CS set you back if you don't mind me asking? I did find out that this would be the MIM version and the price tag isn't too bad for $1200 street price. I'd much prefer it as a MIJ, but I hoping that the MIM is just as good.

You can be pretty sure of that my friend. We're making sure that every Blackmore is coming great out of the factory!.

Mine was only the second one made (RB's was the first!) and they even had to get his permission to put his signature on the headstock! It wasn't officially offered from the CS yet either. I ordered it in July '97 and received it on Halloween '97. I worked for Guitar Center at the time, so after my discount, it was roughly $2400.
