I always liked those. I thought the headstock looked a little odd, the straight edge looks almost curved. not a fan. might just be my eyes

I love the black with maple neck. Very nice guitar
I had to take a couple of quick picks. I tried to show the flaming on the neck but it didnt show up very well. Mine looks a little more worn.

hey ws1995 yours looks great also. bought it new but mostly played my acoustic. only play at home so that is why it probably doesn't look as worn. still love it though and have been playing it more lately. ended up getting a tele also after christmas so i go back and forth with all 3 of my guitars. (acoustic also)

It does look a little "off" ... from the original '50s Strat headstock shape.

But both guitars pictured in this thread are the same way, so I guess that's the way it was. Remember how Fender didn't quite get that small headstock shape right when they reintroduced it? I guess this is just a carry over of that.

I just checked a 1997 Frontline Fender catalog:

A lot of the small headstock Strats in it look a little too "curvy."
The vintage reissues look fine though, go figures.
