I have this strat that I love , but I am curious about the kind of wood the body is made from . Its an old 1983 japanese squier 70 RI with rosewood slabboard, I guess its called in english and maple neck. But the body, it sounds like ash, because of the warm and rich sound. The color of the wood is very bright in the chamber with the pots and switches
Does anyone have an idea if it is ash or alder or the more common in japanese strats: basewood[/img][/url]
