I have an AC30 classic I can't keep it away from My Son and his friends. Its a nice amp for sure as time has proven.

I play My LP through mine when ever I get it back we have several amps in the house and thats one of the favorites. It sounds good for any guitars.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is an AC30CC2?

And how is it different from the Classic?

I've always wanted an AC306TBX...then the Handwired came out lol

custom classic 2, is like a custom classic, only a 2x12, whereas the cc is just the head i believe.

i have the 2x12 extension cabinet powered by a 15w vox pathfinder head, and i tell you what, it is god damned impressive.

the ones with the vox/celestion blues are the ones to get. the other ones (wharfdale?) sound ok, but the vintage 30's are just the butter. you can get soooooo many tones from it.

i played one for about 4 hours at mass. st. music in lawrence, and holy $@!&, if i had the $1799 they were asking, i would've grabbed it! i'm trying to save for one, but you know how g.a.s. prices are...

I'm definitely going to have to check one out then. At $1799, I'm assuming they're all tube too? Pre and power amp?

oh yeah. 100%. best tubed amp i've ever played, but i haven't played a lot. not a lot of switches and $@!&, so you can usually find what you were looking for with your normal stock of pedals.

good luck!
