Matters what type of Strat you have. My American strat has the Serial number on the back of the headstock, but most Mexican Strats have it below the fender logo on the headstock. If you have a Squire, it could be on the back of the neck near the back of the headstock. If you can't find it anywhere, it could be because it was removed by the previous owner if you bought it used! Hope that helps! :D

... and actual vintage strats have the serial number on the neck plate too!

And then when you know the number you can go to

and it will give you the year it was made in!
