You need an electric or at least an acoustic guitar with a pickup.

Plug your guitar in, turn the volume on the guitar RIGHT up. Then turn the volume on the amplifier up quite far. All the way to 10 if the neighbours aren't home :D Then hold the guitar up to the front of the speakers on the amp. As you get closer the feedback should increase, as you move away the feedback should decrease.

Cheers.

ANY guitar equipped with a pick up can produce feedback, it's up to you to make it good

By the way, I would say it all comes down to your amp+signal chain+surroundings, but that's just my opinion

A high output pickup and an overdrive pedal and delay pedal works nicely too (and makes feedback possible at lower voluemse).

I have a strat with a humbucker pickup in the bridge position- I believe that makes it a "Fat Strat". You will want an overdrive pedal... A BOSS SD-1 will work if you want to start cheap. I like my Barber Direct Drive overdrive- they are $120.

You can pick up a BOSS DD-3 delay also (don't spend lots of money for the useless features of the DD-7).

You may also want to consider other options for your residence while you are assembling this signal chain. :P
