Thanks

also I found a MiM strat in that most interesting color Blue Agave but his number is shut off and it was just advertised on the 18th,GRRRRR

Which ever one plays the best for you. That said I like the MIJ ri's. Just make sure the Japan model is what they tell it to be.

On the Japanese model this is what I have been told so far. I am considering it but to check it out would be about 250 miles round
trip.

hi
its a sweet guitar, i think its a 94-95 ish model. made in japan.
the first letter of the serial number is kinda hard to read and it looks like a P.
the neck is really comfy, and sort of a Vee shape, frets are still good, action is very nice.
its in good cond. its not a mint or excellent cond guitar,
it has a couple of wear spots, and a few dings and dents. it has been played, but taken care of.
the pickups sound great, thru my HR deluxe or my roland cube. i had the neck off a while back and it was stamped ST-54, and has a round string tree, and is a '54 reissue.
hope this helps...
regards

I spoke too soon he just sent me more pictures and the serial#and the page at
http://www.guitardaterproject.org/fender.aspx
says its a 1993/1994 made at the fuji-gen plant
and its a "Made in Japan" which some say is better than "Crafted in Japan". What is the difference, anyone know?
Thanks

The difference is just the Japanese company that made them. The MIJ were Fujigen Gakki and the CIJ are Tokai and Dyna, IIRC.

That makes sense.Thanks
I must admit I was confused on the issue. I checked the serial and it was made at fuji-gen.sweet I hope to check it out and maybe "adopt "another child. You know I thought the Tokais were really great guitars. People prefer the Fuji's then eh?I have been dealing with fender for 40 years and I am still learning something everyday. I love it.
Thanks
