I found a 50th anniversary strat I think? Which the guitar will be worth what he is asking regardless but just wondering if the guy bought it new shouldnt it have came with a 50th Anniv. case? Or would that have been extra? Also on the headstock the heads that the strings wrap around are different. 1-4 are the same and 5&6 are the same like on my hss. I guess Im just trying to make sure its not just a standard with a 50th Anniv. plate on the back. According to the serial # it was made in 04. Fender actually started in 50 right? :?:

Its an American made guitar.

It's hard to keep all of the anniversary guitars straight. The first Strats came out in 1954, so 2004 would be their 50th year.

Is it an American made guitar?

Are you saying that a couple of the tuners are taller than the others? That is on purpose ... staggered tuners to help with string angle.

No the tuners on 5&6 are skinnier but other than that looks exactly the same. It is an american guitar.

Fender started in 46. The tele/broadcaster/esquire came out about 52 and the strat about 54. those tuners dont sound right.
