Picked up this beauty today. An immaculate 04 or 05 Mexican 60s reissue for $300. Been gassing for a Strat for a few years. I lost my last Strat in a flood in '99. I saw this one and I could not pass it up. I love the feel of the neck and the way it plays. I'm a little surprised how heavy this sucker is. I thought these things were light.

Nice find, congrats to you.

Do you have a scale? How much does it weigh?

I don't have a scale handy, but it feels about as heavy as my Epi Les Paul - I'm guessing about 9 lbs. I'll have to get a scale.

Looks like you have a copy of my MIM. Same color. Only.......I know it's different, because I don't have vintage tuners on mine.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys.

I was really thinking the same thing. Aren't these things over 800 now new? It's a sign of the times I guess. Guy was asking 375 firm and was getting no replies. I offered 300 and waited.

I've been playing the hell out of this thing and the more I play it the more I love it!! My original teacher (Bernie Brausewetter) was a strat guy and played a very heavily Hendrix influenced style so I always had a soft spot for the strat tone. He always played through his Trainwreck head and was amazing and soulful.
