Im upgrading my Aerodyne Stratocaster right now and am looking for suggestions from people who would know some of the best parts needed for increased sustain and tone

Ive already put in seymour duncan hot Rails in all the pickup positions
And im putting in a hipshot tremsetter, a fender lsr roller nut, fender grease bucket tone circuits on the mid and bridge pickups

Im curious though on what type of tremolo to put in
I like the look and feel of the american standard tremolo but my guitar is set up for a vintage tremolo
But im absolutely sure i can put the american standard in place of it

So, i was curious what would be better to put in, the Fender American Standard Tremolo, or the Wilkinson Wave Knife Edge WVPSBC Tremolo with a steel tremolo block???

Also, would it be best to replace the string saddles on either tremolo unit with Graph Tech String Savers???

And, is there a benefit of getting a bigger steel tremolo block for either tremolo???
If so, what do i get???

And what would be the best tuners to put in, Schaller Locking Tuners or Sperzel Locking Tuners???

Im trying to get the best sustain and the best possible tonal quality and he best possible tuning stability without going with a floyd rose, locking is too much hassle to me

I would suggest keeping the bridge plate and just replace the block with a Callaham.

+1. That'd help with sustain.

The Callaham block is wonderful. I've got a '97 mexican made strat that I put one in several years ago. I was always on a quest for sustain and I've got it now.

My guitar that sustains great consists of the following:
'97 made in Mexico Strat
Callaham cold-rolled steel trem block
Warmoth neck with compound radius fretboard
Seymour Duncan Custom Custom humbucker in the bridge
Dimarzio HS-3 in neck
"Fender Schaller Locking tuners" bought off music123.com (they have a lot of mass/weight). I also have a Groove Tubes Fat Finger but I don't htink it really adds sustain, just makes the guitar's clean sound even more defined and beautiful (that sounds like an ad!) :)

The Schaller lockers on the American Deluxe are great.
