OK you guys, does anybody have a solution to this minor problem? It seems that my pick guard has faded everywhere but where the 2 fender factory stickers were. It's not real noticable but now that I saw it... it's screaming at me. I could buy a new pick guard and probably will but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if it's possible to restore it. I guess it faded hanging in the guitar shop prior to me buying it. When I removed the stickers it was not noticable but now 2 years later it is. I tried basic household cleaners to no avail. Any suggestions?

You don't still have the clear protective film on it do you? When I removed the film from my new guitar pick guard the stickers came off too. If you leave that film on along with the stickers it will fade every where but where the stickers were.

Hello Sunburst,

You might try buffing it with some toothpaste.
The slightly abrasive properties along with
whitening agents, works pretty well.
Not the gel of course.

Cheers.
