Just wondering if any of you have them in your Strat. Thinking about a set of these for my American Standard. Your thoughts? Clips?

I really liked them when I played the Jeff Beck strat to the point where my next project guitar will have them in it.

Are you talking about the SCN pickups that come standard on the American Deluxe? If so, yes I have them in my strat. I've never had anything else other than these pickups. I'm actually a Les Paul guy at heart. With that said, I am well pleased with my strat's sound. Here is a video clip of me playing my strat with SCN pickups through a Super Reverb. The pickup configuration I am using is middle/neck and then I switch to neck alone. Hope this helps! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UszMr1T4Bhc

So I'm guessing that the Fender Hot Noiseless are Noiseless pickups with ceramic magnets?

You may want to consider some of the Dimarzio virutal vintage like the Solo, blues, heavy blues, 54 pro. I dont have them, I have the area 58/61's that to me are the best vintage type noiseless. THe ones' I mentioned before are based on the same type, with more output and attack response. I havent heard any of the Fender hot noiseless.

Put a set into my 95 MIA standard. Higher output than the stock pups, but I was never crazy about them. I would not go so far as to call them "noiseless". Just like any single coil, certain venues will produce that lovely hum. I like the 1-2 and 2-3 positions the best anyway, so I will most likely upgrade to the 62 CS in my new MIA standard. If you really like the 1 and 3 postitions, I would considder it, but I would rather go with a CS vintage set pesonally.

I got a CAR MIM Strat last year and put hot noiseless pups in it this year. I also have an AmStd that I put Lace Sensors in and two AmDlx models with SCNs, one alder and the other ash. They each have distinct tones. The hot noiseless always has a little distortion there, kinda a light crunch and for some music it works great. I have no real issue with the SCNs - nice bell tones especially on the neck pup but my "goto" axe is the one with the Lace Sensors. It just seems to have all the best tones in all switch positions.
