Post subject: Fender SCN Pickups Please HELP>>>>

Hello, I am tring to wire SCN pick ups to a 5 way switch not the S1. Did Not Realize They have an extra wire. Can anyone provide me with info for wiring. Have searched threw fender and other sites and i am coming up dry.

Also what types of differences happean when you change from 250k to 500k pots.... any tricks or mods anyone would like to give up?

The green wire goes to earth along with the black(i think) one. Email me and I'll forward the wiring diagram for the vintage hotrod that uses scn's without the s1 and also has tone control for all 3 pickups.

There is another thread on here covering this. I directed him to the wiring diagram from the '57 Hot Rod. That guitar uses 2 SCN's and a rail so the wiring is identical for use with a regular volume pot.

The 57Hotrod wiring diagram is no longer in the support section. I fear its not sold too well and is being dropped. Still that will only make mine rarer. CW I emailed him the diagram.
