MIM - Made in Mexico
MIJ - Made in Japan
CIJ - Crafted in Japan

The last 2 appear to be similar but different. It seems to mostly have to do with who in Japan was manufacturing the guitars.

That's all I know.

the MIJ and CIJ are what everyone else said, except the Made in Japan was used starting in 1982 and put on all the japanese guitars... in 1992 they started incorporating the Made in Japan symbol and by 96/97 it was all MIJ.... apparently in 07 they stated using a bit of both... its somewhat confusing

thats all from wikipedia by the way

Plus Squier has had guitars/basses -

Crafted in Indonesia
Crafted in China

The above labels are on the reverse of my headstocks.

Indonesia - like my Squier '51
China - like my Squier Standard Strat - Special Edition

and in the past -

Made in Mexico
Made in Korea
Made in Japan

and now the new Vintage models are

Crafted in India
