I was curious to see what people would have to say on this...just an interesting scenario I was wondering about. Let's say that through some terrible circumstances one of your two Strats had either been robbed or broken. In your collection of 2; you have your very first electric guitar where you first began your musical journey and your second one...the tank, which is the fanciest one you can dream of. In terms of value in a monetary sense this second one greatly overshadows the first one. The question is which would you save if you had the ability to save only one...

The second one.

The first one got me to where I am, but it can't get me to where I want to go, like the second one can.

Unlike everyone else, I want my first one back..... it was a 1965 Fender Mustang with the original case.... I bought it second hand in 1970 for $165 bucks and sold it about ten years later for not much more than that.....

That should be a whole other thread.... "the things I sold and have regretted ever since!"

I really like all them "Aster" guitars. You know, like the Stratoc, Telec and Jazzm.

I am not voting because it depends on which one I play and fancy the best. I would want to save the one that plays and sounds the best (that would be the one I play the most anyways). If that is my first guitar then I would save my first guitar. If that is the more expensive guitar, then I guess I lost my first guitar. RK

It's tough since my first guitar isn't necessarily a guitar I really cared about owning or playing, but I would save my first strat over anything.
