Got it yesterday. While I'm no shred master (don't have the talent) makes for one hell of a blues guitar. Can really get ahold of the strings for bends and vibarto.

and with the rest of the crew

I do like it. It was not as BIG of an issue as I thought it might be getting used to the scalloped neck. You can really get ahold of the strings for bends. I don't think it makes you play faster. Actually I think it is a bit more tricky ripping on a scalloped neck. Once again I'm not a "shredder" type player so its not my area of expertises.

Even after just a day it feels weird going in reverse to a "non-scalloped" neck. That and the huge jumbo frets on the Yngwie model compared to my other strats.

I am glad that you like it... I have always been curious about the scalloped
fret board, I have not played one yet, I am not a shredder type player either, I have the 08 Am. deluxe that look similar to yours and I love the way it plays and sound. :D
Anyways, Congrats on the Strat addition and welcome to the forum.

I've had Yngwie and Blackmore strats. It was actually easier for me to play fast on a scalloped neck because it required me to develop a lighter touch.

Your Malmsteen is awesome, always loved that color
:D
