Hi,
I recently purchased a 2005 MIM Fender Deluxe with 2 single coils and 1 humbucker in bridge. I am wanting to know what type of pickups are on these guitars, I was told they're not Tex-Mex type but rather Vintage Noiseless PUs which are standard on these MIM deluxe. I've searched this Fender site to no avail to help find this info so why I'm posting for help here. Also my serial number on the guitar starts with MZ5 and then 6 digits. On this site it says the MIM Deluxe normally has 5 digits. Why has mine got 6? Also what type of machineheads on it? I notice other MIM Strats made that same year have Fender machineheads...Thanks in advance.

If it's a MIM Deluxe Fat Strat it has > 2 Tex-Mex™ Flat Pole Piece Single-Coil Strat Pickups (Neck and Middle),
1 Tex-Mex Fat Strat Humbucking Pickup (Bridge)

should be tex -mex IT maybe a standard hss measure the out put of your humbucker tex should be 14k i think I may be wrong but im pretty sure it is 14k and your guitar should have standard fender tuners w/ F stamped on the back.HELL if it stays in tune dont worry about it just play the @##$$%out of it

My 07 Fat Strat was 2 single tex-mex and one hot Fender humbucker. If it was noiseless, it would say on the pickup cover. Dont worry about the 6 digits serial number, some years have 5 some big production years have 6.

Thanks for the replies so far.

ndngary: my guitar is 2005 those specs are for guitars introduced from 2007.

As for PUs, how can I tell if they're Tex-Mex or Peraly Gates without taking the guitar apart?

My guitar is in Blizzard Pearl which I'm told is not a common color.

wayneclifton: No Fender name stamped on my tuning pegs. They're in the "vintage" style so I presume they're the vintage type. Is there a photo on this site that displays the different type of tuning pegs?
