I only want a good guitar that I can keep for a lot of time... but I guess I ll have to be patient

Now that's what I like to see. A man who sets himself a limit - and then sticks to it!

One time I did that when bidding on an unusual Premier orchestral snare drum in mint condition. Was outbid by pennies, wondered whether to up my bid and didn't. The minute the auction ended I started kicking myself and continued for the next couple of months, cos that particular item almost never comes up.

Come Christmas there was a certain sized package under the tree - turned out to be the very snare drum I'd passed up. I'd been outbid by my own wife!

Neat. 8)

Cheers - C

Great story, Ceri !

btw, I also prefer maple necks and like both alder and ash bodies. I like the looks of ash, but prefer the tone of alder (sometimes anyway ;)

Great story, ceri. And with that post, your post total passed mine! You and Niki pushed me out of 4th place into .... 6th.

High Five!

Oh man! I'm always embarrassed to pass anyone on that list. In your case it seems just plain bad manners on my part! Apologies...

It's not like you took my job or stole my guitar, so there's no problem.
I enjoyed my time as close to the top as I was ever going to get.
Just don't Troll out on us, dude!

I'd be very embarassed to take your guitar. But for a certain one of 'em - I might learn to live with it!
