It's not going to be sold for 99 cents.

Uh.... yeah. ANY guitar, or anything that resembles any kind of guitar, or a guitar key chain even - would totally be worth 99 cents. You're not expecting that starting price to stay are you? :)

265.00 and counting. How do you like the seller saying it is a maple neck which is nicer then rosewood. Boy if that isn't subjective and like your targeting a bunch of no nothing booblewonks

99cents.
I'll take 100 of em.

Do you think someone should tell him that all necks are maple?

I think he ment the fretboard is maple instead of rosewood but you're right, just about all necks on strats are maple.

I see people make this mistake all the time, they assume that the neck is the whole thing.

Just my belligerent bloody minded sense of humour mate. Not of much use within US boundaries.

Still hovering at 265.00. That would be a pretty tasty price for a two week old Standard. I bet it won't stay there...

By the measure of hysterical Ebay salesmanship that blurb is not the worst by any means. Number of times I've seen any old black Strat described as a "Clapton" or "Gilmour", a white one as a "Hendrix" and red ones as "Hank Marvin". Doesn't even seem to need to be Fiesta Red to get labelled a "Marvin": just red.

Mind you, he's right: maple is nicer than rosewood. (Take cover!!!)

Cheers - C
