I have a Fender Made In Japan Strat (with "Made In Japan printed on the back of the neck), and there are a few things I need help sorting out. The serial number starts with "E5", and I haven't seen any info on guitars with "E5". Also, were they offered with a butterscotch finish? It would be nice to find out some more on this guitar.

I believe serial number "E5" means it is from 1985. Can't really get much more info till we see more of the guitar (headstock, neck plate and maybe even tremolo and pickup cavity.)

Ok, I'll get some pics. The neck was changed from a 3 blot to a 4 bolt. Needs new strings soon, have pics of that. E554375.
