My strat is a 1988 mij it has a seymour duncan humbucker in the bridge position and 2 stock singl coils pickups in the mid and neck positions. I want to switch them out for dimarzios or seymour duncan hot rails or any other suggestions you can give me. let me know what would be best

What kind of music do you play, how clean dirty do you usually play? Without that it's pretty impossible to suggest anything pickup wise.

Then i'd probably go with a noisless of some sort. Can't help you much there for noisless that sound like a real SC, but i've tried the fender SCN system and the lace holy grails. they both look like single coils but aren't. i prefered the lace holy grails, but to me a real SC like a van zandt is much better as SC's go. But for what you described i'd think vintage chimey SC tone isn't your main concern and also noise would be a big issue. And you mentioned rails, so you may wanna look into GFS. They have some real cheap rails that many seem to like a lot. I have a lawrence i feel is great, but it's discontinued and the one they make now supposedly is like a true single coil sound. Mine is a XL250, and it's high output. I find it worlds better than the duncan hot rails. You may be able to find one on ebay. But i'd definatly take a close look at the GFS rails. They have various output levels, come in several colors, and they are dirt cheap. i thgink they're like $17 apiece if i recall. And they get some good reviews. Look at guitarfetish.com
